The Wood-Ridge Fire Prevention Bureau inspects all public, residential, commercial and industrial buildings in the borough annually to reduce the chance of fire and injuries.

The bureau is also responsible for determining the cause and origin of all fires within the borough and conducts fire safety public education for local schools and community organizations.

The Fire Prevention Bureau is headed by Fire Official John Kurz.  All fire inspectors are certified by the NJ Division of Fire Safety.
