Ground Water Elevation Surveying on Arnot Place and Dead Ends of Helm Avenue and Wood-Ridge Avenue: September 7th to September 9th·

The Borough Engineer and a soil boring company will be surveying ground water on Arnot Place and the dead ends of Helm and Wood-Ridge Avenues from September 7th to the 9th. The surveying will determine the elevations and locations of ground water in the neighborhood.

The results will help explain the role that ground water plays in flooding conditions in yards and streets as well as water infiltration into homes' basements and sump pump systems. This work is being performed as part of a larger flood study of the neighborhood that will be shared with you when it is completed.

All work will be performed in the street and public property, not on your private property. Residential utilities have been marked out to prevent hitting service lines when the soil boring is performed. Please park your vehicles either in your driveway or on adjacent streets during the days the work is being performed to make it easier for the crew to access your street.
