Fire Prevention Week is October 5th to October 11th, 2025. Join the Wood-Ridge Fire Department on Sunday, October 12th, at the Wood-Ridge Firehouse, 85 Humboldt St., from 1 to 4 p.m. Children ages 3 to 13 will be treated to donuts and beverage, and then take a ride inside of an actual fire truck around town! A parent or guardian will have to be present the day of the event to sign a permission slip for their child to participate.

Fire Chief Kevin Cribben asks that you talk to your kids about how they can prevent fires. Take the mystery out of fire and make sure that your kids follow safety tips.
